AMDA is a non-profit corporation and is not organized for the private benefit of any individual. It is organized under the Non-profit Corporation Law of State of Maryland (Maryland Nonprofit Corporation Law) for public and charitable purposes. It is Intended to rally constituencies residing in North America in support of the development of the Awash Melkassa community.
Achievement of an all-round development of the Awash Melkassa Community by harnessing economic opportunities without compromising the natural environment and by maintaining, enriching, and fostering the spiritual and material wealth that inspired generations.
Short term objectives of the Corporation include but not limited to the one that are mentioned below and shall be executed according to Article 7.1: A. Provide Educational materials and computers for local schools. B. Establishing a book reading center and in collaboration with other NGOs launch a virtual library. C. Support all schools in Awash Melkassa D. Assist in resettlement of Awash Melkassa new immigrants in Diaspora
